Although fall is exactly one month away, the current temperature and humidity here in Washington, D.C. are almost unbearably high. While looking for late summer pieces at different stores, I saw a number of beautiful floral dresses. One of them, featuring large flowers, reminded me of this dress, which I’ve owned for a while now. Once I returned home, I searched for this dress and decided to ‘resurrect’ it as soon as I had a chance.
The classic design of this dress is one of my favorites. While its strapless fitted bodice accentuates the beautiful outlines of a woman’s neck and shoulders, the floral skirt with an A-line silhouette adds a ladylike touch to the dress. I also feel more comfortable in fit-and-flare dresses than in more closely cut styles. I hope this post inspires you to take out a relatively older summer piece from the back of your closet and breathe life into it again.
I hope you have a nice time this weekend!
Thank you very much for stopping by!
