Going beyond the Basics

Every year, when higher temperatures arrive, I can’t wait to store my winter clothes deep in the back of the closet and break out the lighter pieces! Among the spring and summer must-haves that I enjoy wearing during these seasons is a pair of shorts. Many times I like to give this summer staple a touch of sophistication by combining it with a shirt. I also bring a blazer with me if I fear that the air conditioning in my favorite stores and restaurants will make me feel cold.

Today’s outfit shows my preferred way of wearing shorts. I brightened up the combination of basic khaki shorts, printed blue shirt, and navy blazer with a layered necklace (a trusted accessory that has never failed to accentuate my outfits) and a skinny, shiny belt. Block heel sandals have become my favorite style due to the comfort they provide, so a tan pair was perfect to finalize this ensemble.

Thank you very much for reading!

Have a great weekend!

Danielle
