During this time of year, many people, including me, enjoy taking trips to new destinations. I would like to share an example of the outfits I wear on these occasions. When I travel to a new city, I walk long distances every day, trying to see as many places as possible. For this reason, I select clothes that are not only fashionable but also very comfortable.
Shirts: I like to wear lightweight, long-sleeve shirts when I am planning to spend a lot of time in museums, galleries, and other places where the air conditioning might make my arms cold. If I wear a sleeveless or short-sleeve shirt, then I have to carry a sweater with me; this additional piece adds more weight, and I prefer to carry as little as possible.
Shorts/Pants: Depending on the places I visit, I wear jeans, lightweight pants, or shorts. I bring dresses with me, too. However, since I like to be able to walk everywhere without worrying about my clothes (I want to be able to ascend stairs, sit anywhere, climb over anything), I only wear the dresses to dinner.
Shoes: Since most of the day I am on my feet, sneakers are a must! Because I walk many miles day after day, comfort is a priority. I also bring sandals to wear to dinner or to special events.
Backpack: Light and small are my two primary requirements when choosing a backpack. I carry a backpack to have enough space for my guidebook, camera, bottle of water, cellphone, and map. I also bring a small cross-body purse for dining in nice restaurants.
Hats and Glasses: I carry a small hat that goes well with most of my outfits. I am accustomed to wearing sunglasses, so I take them wherever I go.
Accessories: I bring necklaces and bracelets that I can combine with many clothes.
Thank you very much for reading! I hope you have great vacation!
